The Carnarvon Heritage Precinct is home to the One Mile Jetty, the Kimberley Steam Train, Lighthouse Keepers Cottage, 1 Mile Station Restaurant, walktrails and many other attractions. If you're not up to walking the Jetty or need to bring the big catch back why not catch a ride on the Coffee Pot train. Please note: currently the Jetty is closed to public access and is undergoing major repairs. When you visit the Carnarvon Heritage Precinct, you can take a walk through the Railway Station Museum and learn about fast shearers and big sheds of the Gascoyne shearing industry in the Shearing Hall of Fame. You can also view footage of the search for the HMAS Sydney II and the HSK Kormoran, from the famous battle of 1941 off the Gascoyne coast. On display is one of the lifeboats in which 46 German survivors came ashore north of Carnarvon.
